the long-awaited update

Two people in the past day have asked why I haven't updated in so long or commented on the time that has passed. So I can get myself caught up, I'm going to list the goings-on:


-I got an mp3 player

-My professor is borderline nuts

-I have $600 left to go on Montreal

-My car got fixed and is now acting weird again

-I've started running every day

-I've lost about 5 pounds

-2 of my friends have decided to leave school

-I am still single

-I had one hell of a fun time at the bar this weekend

-My class of 5 people is bonding very well due to the horrific workload

-I was asked to go line dancing tomorrow night (probably won't happen)

-My notebook on money and good things I do for myself is going pretty well, although I have definitely lapsed over the past week.

-Pledging is next block break (after this one)!

-Montreal is only 3 and a half months away!

Hopefully my updates will be a little less sporadic from now on.

happy new year, now get to work

i'm back at school, but i don't have morning class (who knows). so, i worked on the journal i'm keeping. one part is about my spending habits, and one part is about healthy things i'm doing. i'm going to try to keep the toxic sludge of caffeine out of my body from now on - that crap is gross.


anyway, i found a really great deal on an mp3 player online. i've wanted one for a while, and it will really help when i travel, because i won't have to haul cds and batteries with me. so, on outpost.com (thank you, roomie), i found a Creative 30 gig player for 200 dollars, which is a pretty damn good deal. it was also a lot more affordable compared to a lot of the other players, and i trust the brand. so i justified the cost and went ahead with it. it should be here by the end of the week.


my ex-boyfriend called from paris. he told me he isn't going to the top of the eiffel tower without me, and that if i don't go up there with him, then he's not going up. in one way its amazingly romantic, and in the other, i still can't quite get over what he did and all that. oh well, these decisions aren't up to me, they're more up to faith. so i'll stick with that.


my roomie got me the first season of sex and the city for Christmas, and I got her a subscription to Cosmo. what a pair! fun!
